What does the S.G.A President do?

The President shall:

  • Preside over weekly S.G.A Executive Board for all elected officers.
  • Preside over monthly S.G.A Full Body meetings for all members-at-large and elected officers.
  • Develop the agenda and distribute at least 24 hours prior to S.G.A Executive Board and Full Body meetings.
  • Serve as the primary contact for faculty, staff, administrators and students at the College.
  • Attend requested meetings or appoint a designee if a class conflict exists.
  • Supervise the duties and tasks of the Vice Presidents and Secretary.
  • Monitor and respond to the S.G.A email regularly, and make referrals as needed.

What is the S.G.A?

The purpose of the STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION shall be to advocate and further the best interests of students at the College by:

  • Establishing open communication on student issues and concerns.
  • Participation in the College's shared governance.
  • Promoting student participation and engagement in college life.
  • Developing a sense of pride and spirit for the Reynolds community.

S.G.A Members-at-Large

Members-at-Large shall:

  • Promote the general well-being of the student body.
  • Listen and gather concerns and feedback of Reynolds students on matters of the College with attention issues at different campus locations and modalities (i.e. online).
  • Attend regularly scheduled S.G.A Full Body meetings during the academic year.
  • Attend various functions and special meetings as scheduled by the advisor or Dean of Students including but not limited to S.G.A trainings, Organization Club training and monthly club roundtables, and the annual Students' events.
